FLOWER POWER!

So as everyone already knows, my pieces are always hopelessly feminine! but whenever i accidentally end up making a piece that is too girly, i just contrast that with a glaze that is a little less so. Such as wood-firing. and it always works! i got my gold key for my sarah davis piece which i used that method on. (thats funny when i later found out that she was one of the judges) hehe. but anyways, this is my latest piece, a flower teapot. i have literally not made a teapot for over a year so my skills were a little rusty. I'm really proud of the lid, which is a completely functional fitted lid. however, im very dissapointed with my spout because not only does it look a little weird, but also its not very functional because i attatched it too low at the base and so when it is filled up with water, it might start to over flow. So, i think i am going to take off the spout and cover the mark with a slab and turn it into a lidded pot/jar. and then im gonna make two smaller ones to make a set. Although this project didnt turn out how i wanted it to, it still transfoprmed into a good idea in the end, which i love!
